今は離島・本島の一部でしか見られなくなった女性の節句。昔流の海開きであり、浜で身体の汚れを洗い流して厄を払うのが目的とされている。お供えの重箱には三月菓子（長方形のサーターアンダギー）などを詰める。 現代バージョンとして提案したいのだが、女性のためのスパリゾート旅行に変換するのはどうだろう？露天風呂で日頃の労をねぎらい、サウナで汗を流して厄を払う。重箱料理のかわりにコースメニューを頂けば、また1年頑張ろうと力がみなぎる素晴らしい行事になると思うんだけど！
