中国伝来の旧暦二十四節季の一つ「清明」の季節に行われる先祖の霊を祭る行事。親族が万障繰り合わせてだいたい新暦４月の中頃に墓前に集まり重箱料理や果物を供え、あとで皆でいただくというまるでご先祖様とのピクニック。墓前で集合写真を撮ったらきっと人数が増えて写るんじゃないかと不謹慎にも思ったりする。日ごろ会わない親戚との親睦の意味でも、タイヘンだけど楽しい伝統になっている。
	In Okinawa,traditional“Shimi”is come from chinese old calender,the annual observance that relatives gather at their family tombs to pray and feast offered by each family.It is like a big Picnic.After clean up the family tomb's surrounding area, folks chat and make themselves confortable with ancestors.It is one of the rituals and perhaps the festivals.
