全国的猛暑など気候変動を痛感する今年。真夏にはめずらしく雨の多い沖縄だが、秋のイベントが増えてくる時期なのでぜひとも晴天が続いて欲しいもの。 十五夜は各地でそれぞれの祭りがあるものだが、画廊のある首里汀良町は500年の伝統を誇る汀良獅子舞で知られている。悪霊を払い、五穀豊穣と地域の繁栄をもたらすといわれる獅子舞。汀良町青年会と、時代を担う男の子たちが町民の期待を一気に受け止めてくれる十五夜祭は、小さな公民館がかなりの人出で賑わう伝統行事。今年もまた、荘厳な演舞と地域住民や遠来の客人とのおしゃべりを楽しみに、満月の夜を心待ちにしている。
	Shi-shi-mai(Lion-dances)are widely perfomed at many area of Okinawa to pray for a good harvest and rituals to despel evil spirits on the fall night of full moon. Here in Tera-cho,Shuri where KYOKOART Gallery locates on,local young guys perform the 500years traditional shi-shi-mai as the successors. We look forward this event in a full moon night every year.Respectable.
