楽園・イペーの木 紅葉こそ見られない沖縄だが、一年中何らかの花（しかも原色！）が咲きみだれ冬でもカラフルな土地柄である。“イペーの木”中南米原産の花木。沖縄では庭木として親しまれていて、冬から春にかけて鮮やかな黄色の花をつける。自分の愛車が同じ色だからというわけではないのだが、黄色の花を見るととても元気がでる感じ。イペーの木は細身で姿良く、花が落ちたあとの緑葉や種のつき方など見どころがたくさん。枯れ枝さえも魅力的な枝ぶりだ。 もっぱらご近所様の借景でまことに申し訳ないが、今年もそろそろ開花が楽しみだ。 Ipe-Trees are popular in Okinawa as winter to spring season's blossom trees.They are originally from Brazil and got beautiful bright yellow flowers.Their stems and branches show us very nice figure even when they have no flowers and leaves.As a matter of fact,I am now enjoying vewing Ipe-trees in our neighbor's garden.I am dreaming I could have my own Ipe-tree in my future garden.
